Hazrat Khawaja Hasan Basri رحمة الله عليه quoted as having been confirmed by no less than thirty Holy companion of the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم that whosoever offers this prayer at this night, Allah looks at him 70 times with mercy and every time He fulfils his seventy wishes.
Special Prayer 1:
Significance: Whosoever offers two cycles of prayer on the first night of Sha’aban after the Tahajjad Prayer, would be saved from the torment of hell and be placed at a prominent place in the paradise InshaAllah.
Method: In each cycle, Surah Fatiha followed by Surah Ikhlas 100 times and in bowing and prostration n (Ruku and Sajood) after the recommended Tasbihaat, the following dua should be recited:
Special Prayer 2:
Significance: whosoever offers this prayer would get forgiveness for all his previous sins.
Method: On first night of Sha’ban; after Isha Prayer, 12 cycles of nafl prayer such that after Surah-e-Fatiha recite Durood Ibrahimi 15 times.
Significance: Whosoever offers this prayer would be granted strength of faith and Almighty’s Pleasure.
Method: On the first Friday of Sha’ban, two cycles of prayer between Maghrib and Isha prayer such that in every cycle after Fatiha, Ayatul Kursi once and both Surah-e-Ikhlas and Surah-An-Na’as 10 times.
Special Prayer 4:
Significance: Whosoever offers this prayer would be granted a prominent place in the paradise InshaAllah.
On the first Friday of Shaban after Isha Prayer,four cycles of nafl prayer such that in each cycle Surah-e-Fatiha once followed by Surah-e-Ikhlas 11 times. After offering these nafl, dedicate the reward to Hadhrat Sayyedah Fatima (رضي الله عنهأ).
Special Prayer 5 on 14th DAY OF SHA’ABAN-UL-MUAZZAM:
Significance: Whosoever offers would be granted forgiveness for all his sins.
Method: On 14th of Sha’aban-ul-Muazzam, two cycles of nafl prayer after Maghrib such that in each cycle after Surah-e-Fatiha last three verses of Surah-Al-Hashr once and Surah Al-Ikhlas 3 times.
The Prayer of Benefits [Salat al-Khair]:
This prayer is offered on the 15th night of Sha’ban(Lailatul Bara’ah). This night has always been rendered as a very special night and Nawafil and tasbihaat have great reward in that night. A person gets real success in this night when he cries with humbleness over his sins and requests Allah for forgiveness and the prayers asked on this blessed night never go unanswered. One such blessed deed is the Salat-ul-Khair. This prayer is being practiced since the early times of Islam by so many pious people and saints who are regarded as an authority.
Method:on the 15th night of Sha’ban, offer 100 cycles of prayer(with a 2cycle composition).In each cycle, Surah Fatiha would be followed by Surah-e-Ikhlas 10 times. Hadhrat Khawaja Hassan Al-Basriرحمة الله عليهnarrates, that he has heard from no less than thirty holy companions رضي الله عنهمof the beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلمthat whosoever offers this prayer in this night; Allah Almighty looks at him 70 times with Mercy and grants 70 of his wishes each time. Among them (Mercy), the least thing is forgiveness to his sins. (Ghuniya-tul-Talibeen by Hadhrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani رحمة الله عليه)
NAWAFIL AND FASTS:
Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنه narrates that our beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلمwould urge to wake that night (doing worship) and keeping fast during the day as the Allah Almighty descends on the first sky right after the dusk (means after Maghrib) and announces if there is someone wanting pardon for his sins, or looking for his wishes to be granted or trapped in hardships, I will give him relief and fulfill his wishes. He stays there till dawn (Ibn-e-Majah). If a person keeps fast on the 14th day of Sha’ban and recites 40 times before the break the following recitation ( ) would certainly have all his previous sins as forgiven.
BEFORE ISHA PRAYER:
On the 14th of Sha’ban before Isha Prayer whosoever offers 8 cycles of nafl prayer(2 cycle with a salam) and in each Surah-e-Fatiha followed by Surah-e-Ikhlas 5 times would be granted forgiveness for his previous sins.
GLAD TIDINGS OF GREAT FORGIVENESS FOR ALL:
Our Beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلمsaid that the 15th night of Sha’ban is an exalted one. He صلي الله عليه وسلم also said that on this night Allah Almighty opens countless doors of His Blessings and offers that whosoever wopuld ask forgiveness for his past sins would be pardoned and freed from the torment of hell. On another occasion our beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلمsaid thatwhosoever worships in this night would never even be touched by the hells fire.
BLESSING AND ABUNDANCE IN RIZQ(SUSTENANCE)
Whosoever offers two cycles of nafl prayer such that in each cycle Surah Fatiha followed by Ayat-ul-Kursi once and Surah-e-Ikhlas 15 times and after finishing recite Durood Sharif 100 times would be blessed abundance of Rizq.
RIDDANCE FROM TORMENT OF GRAVE AND PARDON
Significance: Whosoever offers the following nafl prayers during the 15th night of Sha’ban would have numerous angels appointed by the Almighty who would pray for his riddance from the grave’s torment and entering in to paradise.
Method: Eight cycles of nafl prayers (2 cycles with one salam) such that in each cycle Surah-e-Fatiha followed by Surah-e-Ikhlas 10 times.
